I finally made it to Disney

Disney Trip Day 1

We woke up Saturday morning to find snow.  I was hoping it would not cause delays for our plane but with a quick check on the computer everything appeared to be on time so we packed up our bags and headed to the airport.

It was all very exciting and I didn't really feel that paniced about flying until right about the time we left the terminal and stepped into that hallway thing that leads into the plane.  Then it sort of hit me that I was flying, I was afraid to fly and as I walked up the asile of the plane scanned for all possible terrorist suspects....on saw about 3 people I thought looked questionable and then quickly found my seat and of course all the boys wanted to sit next to each other so that left Carrot and I to sit with the stranger.  He was very plesant and maybe sitting next to the stranger helped my anxienty.  We landed with no problems and I was event looking out the window at the ocean by the last 15 minutes of the plane ride.

We arrived at our hotel Port Orleans Riveside late afternoon.  It was so beautiful! It was still a bit chilly but the grass and trees were so green it was such a nice change from what we were used to.  We had reservations to eat with Chef Mickey that night but couldn't help springing for one extra days worth of tickets and going into the park a little early.

We hopped the bus and arrived at magic kingdom and had almost an hour to enjoy before we needed to go to dinner.  Carrot was just in awe.  We all were really when we saw the castle and just waled down Main Street USA taking it all in.
Dinner with Chef Mickey was fun.  We hopped the tram (which is the way to go - we migh even spring for one of the higher end hotels next time just for that convience)  and the tram pulls right up into the Contemorary resort.  Pretty cool!  We took the escalator down stairs and where there at dinner and enjoyed seeing a lot of the characters for the first time.

After dinner we headed back to magic kingdom for the electric parade.  Disney does not disapoint when it comes to parades and firework shows that is for sure.  Carrot's face during that first night was worth every penny that trip cost.  She just couldn't take it all in.

I
It really was quite magical and I even got a little tear in my eye when one of cinderella's little mice all lit up in a beautiful dress came over and bent down and rubbed noses with Carrot.
