Easter Egg time

We got back from our Gettysburg trip on Saturday before Easter but we had to make time to dye some eggs because JonJon had never dyed Easter eggs before.  I had dyed eggs with the daycare kids just a few days before and believe it or one 17 year old Ooney made more mess dying eggs than all 8 of my daycare kids put together :)

Gettysburg via the bike

I took off Good Friday and the Monday after Easter this year from the daycare so we decided go to Gettysburg camping for two nights (or cabining since it is only April) so Ooney and JonJon  would cook some hot dogs over the fire and experience some of what camping is about.

We stayed in a cabin designed for 6 people so you would think it would allow for 6 hot showers right?  I took a cold shower Thursday night and when we inquired about the hot water the next day we found out the cabin only had a 6 gallon hot water heater :)  So needless to say some got a beginning of a hot shower and the rest of us had to walk to the campground bathrooms.

J wanted to bike around many of the Gettysburg attractions....sounds like fun and it was but did we ever bike.  I think we probably biked between 15 and 20 miles.  It was a beautiful day though and very memorable.

 At the top of the lookout tower - it was really high.  Lots of conversations walking down about "we would still die from this level, I think at this level we would just break out legs.......very amusing.
