What work event????

I was all ready, new dress from the Black and White store, my farm girl feet scrubbed until they were as smooth as could be, babysitter lined up and at my house 30 minutes before the end of daycare so I had time to shower and get ready before we had to leave.......and low and behold J walks in the house and says, "it has been a really long week - how about skipping the event and us just all going out to dinner".   One short hour later we were on the deck of a restaurant looking over the river.

Trip to NYC

Last Saturday we took a day trip to NYC to tour NYU and also meet up a friend of Carrot's to celebrate her friends birthday in the tea room at the American Girl doll store.  It was also Jeff's birthday.  We wanted to stop at a nice restaurant to celebrate but we were so hungary after parking and taking the subway down to Greenwich Village that we just found a little pub and ate a quick lunch.  I did however have J birthday present in my purse and it was a winner.  While Carrot and I went off to American Girl, J and the boys walked and shopped on 5th Ave. and then headed back to TimeSquare.  Fun day but we were oh so tired.

 Tried and tried to guess his present on the way to NYC but couldn't guess 

 It was a winner.  Tickets to see Jimmy Buffet.  I was completely not sure if he would like this but he says he loves it and has been listening to Jimmy Buffet since LOL

Last night we had the pleasure of a evening boat trip thanks to Captain Seth and Joanne.  The temperature was perfect.  Although we ate dinner during the best wind and we were not able to do much sailing it was still so lovely.  The kids were happy for no wind and an excuse to take a swim. 

Thank you Captain Seth we needed that relaxing night out.
